Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon presides over Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Ascension in Hypsomatheia

On Thursday, 29 May 2025, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, serving as the Patriarchal Commissioner, presided over the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, celebrated at the Church of the Ascension in the Hypsomatheia district of Constantinople.
The homily was delivered by Patriarchal Deacon Evlogios Tsatsas, Codicographer of the Holy and Sacred Synod.
Following the Dismissal, His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, Supervisor of the Hypsomatheia district, offered a warm greeting to the Patriarchal Commissioner.
In his reply, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel spoke about the significance of the day’s feast and its spiritual meaning for the faithful.
On the eve of the feast, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon also presided over Great Vespers at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George.
