On today’s great feast of the Transfiguration of our Saviour Christ, Sunday 6 August 2023, Our Shepherd, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Dimitrios of the Princes’ Islands, with the blessing of His All-Holiness our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, presided over the Divine Liturgy in the celebrating Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Prinkipo, in the midst of a multitude of pilgrims from the islands and our city of Constantinople, at the end of which an Artoklasia (blessing of the 5 loaves) was conducted for their mercy and health, and the grapes were also blessed according to ancient ecclesiastical custom.

A reception followed in the gardens of the renowned Holy Monastery.

On Friday, 4 August 2023, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Dimitrios officiated at the service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos, in the Community Church of the Birth of the Theotokos on the Island of Proti, where the many youths of the Patriarchal Summer Camp ‘Paidopolis’ attended also.
