Ecumenical Patriarch to visit Metropolis of Spain and Portugal in October

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will pay an official visit to the Holy Metropolis of Spain and Portugal in the coming days.

Specifically, he will visit Madrid from 14 to 18 October 2023, on the occasion of the completion of 20 years since the foundation of the Metropolis (2003-2023) and 50 years since the inauguration of the Cathedral of Saints Andrew and Dimitrios (1973-2023).

On Sunday, 15 October 2023, the Ecumenical Patriarch will preside over the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral.

It is the first time that the Ecumenical Patriarch visits the Metropolis of Spain and Portugal, at the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Vissarion.
