Ecumenical Patriarch celebrates Divine Liturgy for Feast of Saints Peter and Paul

On Sunday, 29 June 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who returned from Great Britain, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George in Constantinople, commemorating the feast of the glorious, renowned, and foremost Apostles Peter and Paul.
The service was attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Irenaeus of Myriophyton and Peristasis, His Eminence Metropolitan Theoliptos of Iconium, His Eminence Metropolitan Joachim of Bursa, along with numerous clergy and faithful belivers.
The previous evening, during the Great Vespers of the feast, the Patriarchal Commissioner, His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, celebrated the service.
Throughout both days of the celebration, relics of the Holy Apostle Peter were displayed for the faithful to pay their respects. These precious relics were gifted in 2019 by the late Pope Francis to the Church of Constantinople.
