Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew welcomed Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv to the Phanar

On Saturday afternoon, 8 March 2025, at the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, at the Phanar, an official meeting was held between His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, and His Eminence Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva.
During the meeting, Metropolitan Epiphaniy once again thanked His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for his support for the Ukrainian Church and the pious people suffering from Russian aggression, spoke about events in the religious and public life of Ukraine, and about his visits to Italy and the USA.
The Patriarch expressed his support for the need of the Ukrainian people to achieve a just and lasting peace. The meeting exchanged views on a number of issues, including humanitarian initiatives, the release of prisoners, and the return of illegally abducted Ukrainian children.

In memory of the meeting, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Metropolitan Epiphaniy exchanged commemorative gifts.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, met at the Phanar with the Abbots of the Mount Athos Monasteries, Abbot Alexios of Xenophontos Monastery, and Abbot Gabriel of Pantokratoros Monastery.
Today, the feast of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy will concelebrate with the Ecumenical Patriarch at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George at the Phanar.
