Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visits the Georgian Community of Constantinople

On Sunday, 8 October 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the Divine Liturgy which took place at the Church of Saint George in Pyli, Adrianople, to mark the closing of the proceedings of the International Symposium, titled “Constantinople and Mtskheta – Ecclesiastical and Cultural Interactions”.

The Symposium was under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarch and was organised by the Georgian Parish of Constantinople, based at the Church of Saint George, Edirnekapi.

The following people were also present: Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Their Eminences, Metropolitan Apostolos of Miletus, Metropolitan Joseph of Buenos Aires, Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa, His Grace Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, Supervisor of the Phanar – Golden Horn District, His Grace Bishop Gregorios of Abydos, assistant to the Metropolitan of Buenos Aires, clergy of the Patriarchate of Georgia, the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey, clergy of the Patriarchal Court and many faithful.

A lunch was provided by the Georgian Community in honour of the Ecumenical Patriarch, the guests and the delegates.
