Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to attend the celebration of the 180 years of the Theological School of Halki
Next Friday, 13 September 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit the Theological School of Halki and will officiate during the Divine Liturgy which will take place on the occasion of the celebration of the 180th anniversary of its establishment and inauguration, while a memorial service for the School’s founders will follow.
In more detail, the relevant announcement states:
“We are pleased to announce that on the completion of 180 years since the establishment and inauguration of the Holy Theological School of Halki, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, being pleased that, attending with his entire entourage, will officiate in the Chapel of the School next Friday, 13 September 2024 at around 8 a.m., at the Divine Liturgy, which will be followed by a memorial service for the repose of the venerable founders of the School. After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a reception and speeches will follow in the Great Synod room of the School”.
