Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to attend feast day of the Church of the Holy Trinity on Halki

On the Monday of the Holy Spirit, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit the island of Halki and attend the holy feast of the Church of the Holy Trinity of the Theological School of Halki.

The following is the relevant press release from the Theological School of Halki:

It is with pleasure that we announce that on Monday after the feast of Pentecost, 9 June 2025, during which the School’s chapel, which is honoured in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, is celebrating, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, being gracious to come with his entire entourage and officiate during the festive Divine Liturgy being celebrated there.

After the Divine Liturgy, a reception will follow in the Great Synod room of the School.

On the day before, Sunday 8 June 2025, the feast of Pentecost, the solemn Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the school’s chapel at around 9 a.m., presided over by the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos. After the Divine Liturgy, the Vespers of the Holy Spirit will be celebrated, during which the Kneeling Prayer will be read.

In the evening, at around 6 p.m., the Great Vespers of the feast will be celebrated, presided over by the same Hierarch, who will also preside over the Divine Liturgy to be celebrated on the morning of the Saturday of the Souls, 7 June 2025, with the reading of the established Trisagion memorial service for the repose of those who have fallen asleep in the Lord from all the ages.
