Ecumenical Patriarch at Feast of Saint Nina with the Georgian Orthodox Christians in Constantinople
His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Thursday, January 27, 2022, went to the holy church of Saint George of the Gate of Adrianople, where the Holy Divine Services were held in the Georgian language to serve the Georgian parish of Constantinople, and he celebrated the services on the occasion of the feast, according to the Julian calendar, of St. Nina the equal to the apostles, enlightener of Georgia.
At the end of the Divine Services, His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was addressed by the Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne Very Rev. Fr Elias Jinjolava, Hierarchical Head of the Church, while the Patriarch responded appropriately also in his address. The Divine Service was attended by Metropolitan Ioakeim of Proussa, His Grace. Bishop Massimiliano Palinuro, Bishop of the Roman Catholic community in the City, the Consul General of Georgia of Constantinople His Excellency. Mr. Inga Kikvadze, and faithful of Georgian origin.
His Holiness then blessed the festive table offered at the Community Hall.
