Ecumenical Patriarch and Archbishop of Cyprus shared cordial meeting in Constantinople

On Sunday, 7 July 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew prayerfully attended the Divine Liturgy alongside His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios of New Justinian and All Cyprus at the Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi in Baloukli.

Immediately afterwards, he warmly welcomed the Archbishop and a group of pilgrims from the Great Island of Cyprus, who had recently completed a pilgrimage to Cappadocia, Sylevria, and Constantinople.

Addressing the pilgrims, His All-Holiness conveyed the love of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and extended the patriarchal and paternal blessings to them all and their families.

The two Primates had a similarly cordial meeting at the Monastery’s hegumenion. Subsequently, in the presence of the Archbishop and the pilgrims, the Ecumenical Patriarch conducted a Trisagion Memorial Service at the tomb of his late predecessor, Patriarch Athenagoras, marking the 52nd anniversary of his passing.
