Diocese of Brisbane- GOYA Brisbane visit Bishop Bartholomew

The Executive Committee of the Greek Orthodox Youth of Australia – Brisbane (GOYA) visited the offices of the Diocese of Brisbane to receive the blessing of His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane.

His Grace from the outset conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and informed the youth that His Eminence will be visiting Brisbane next month on the occasion of the consecration of Saint Paraskevi in Taigum.

His Grace thanked the young adults for the love and passion they have for both Orthodoxy and Greece and was very much looking forward to supporting the various initiatives of the youth.

Bishop Bartholomew then presented the youth with a book titled “Lord and Master of My Life”. A book written by our beloved Archbishop Makarios of Australia where His Eminence offers reflections on spiritual alertness. 

Moreover, His Grace presented the youth committee with a commemorative set of coins on the occasion of the centenary anniversary since the establishment of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia for their commitment and dedication.

The youth then presented His Grace with a gift and pledged their support and cooperation to the initiatives of the Diocese of Brisbane.

Light refreshments were served afterwards, and a commemorative photograph was taken with His Grace and the Youth.
