Crete: Celebration of the Feast Day of Pentecost at the Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon

The great feast day of Pentecost, the day on which our Holy Church gloriously celebrates its Birthday, was celebrated magnificently, with due ecclesiastical splendour, at the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon.
The solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and the Vespers service, during which the prayers of kneeling are recited, were presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino and Locum Tenens of the Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronas, while Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne and Abbot of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon, Amphilochios Papagiannakis, and a number of Clergy of the Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronas took part.
Afterwards, the Vespers of the Holy Spirit or kneeling was celebrated, where Divine blessings were read from the sacred steps in front of the Beautiful Gate, the Hierarchical Trisagion was recited at the tomb of the late Metropolitan Damaskinos of Kydonia and Apokoronas, and the Procession of the Icon of Pentecost.

On the eve of the great feast of Pentecost at the historic Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon, His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino, celebrated the great Hierarchical Vespers and preached the Holy Sermon, which was attended by Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne and Abbot of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon, Father Amphilochios Papagiannakis, the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronas, Archimandrite Father Nikephoros Eikosidekas, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Karydi, Archimandrite Father Jeremiah Chliaras, Clergy of the local Metropolis and a delegation from the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Our Lady of the Angels of Gouverneto and the Abbess of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Chrysopigi, Gerontissa Theoxeni.
The Feast Day was also attended by a large crowd of faithful people who came to worship and pray to the Holy Trinity.
