Consecration Service for the new school year at the ‘Ketsekideio’ Greek School in Brussels

On Tuesday, 10 September 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxemburg conducted a Consecration Service (Agiasmos) for the beginning of the new school year at the ‘Ketsekideio’ Greek School in Brussels, with the participation of the School’s teachers, professors and students, as well as the education advisor of the Greek Embassy in Brussels Ms. Amalia Kapsala.

At the end of the ceremony, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras expressed his joy that the Greek School of Brussels is housed in a building that was offered by the Kestekidos family to the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the organisation and hosting of the Greek School and wished the teachers and students that the new school year would be rich in knowledge and education, and the true living of the traditions of the Church and Hellenism so that the ever-living tradition of the Nation continues to be handed down from generation to generation.
