Condolences from European Ambassadors to the Patriarch of Antioch for the Tragedy at the Church of Prophet Elias

His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received the heads of the European diplomatic missions accredited to Syria:

- Ambassador Michalis Chatzikyriakou (Cyprus)
- Ambassador Emmanouil Kakavelakis (Greece)
- Ambassador Margarete Jakob (Germany)
- Ambassador Szabolcs Totto (Hungary)
- Mr. Stefan Sakalian (Head of the Red Cross Mission)
- Mr. Elia Attieh, representative of the Ambassador of Belgium
who came to offer their condolences for the martyrs of the Church of Saint Elias in Douela.
The ambassadors expressed their condolences to the Patriarch and the families of the martyrs. They condemned the cowardly attack that targeted an essential component of Syrian society, claiming the lives of more than twenty martyrs.
