ERT’s #Together organizes a special carnival party. George Kouvaras hosts Paschalis and promises a program full of dancing and singing.

The city synonymous with Carnival is naturally present at the event. The spirit of Patras is brought to the studio by guest carnival revelers, with their wild dances and unique costumes.

Patras Carnival 2025 | Grand Parade | 14:30 (Athens time)
The Patras Carnival, the grand celebration of joy, promises to offer unique moments again this year, with the highlight being the grand parade on Sunday, March 2, 2025, broadcast on ERT World.
Dedicated to the birth of the Carnival, the King Carnival (designed by Petros Bryonis and crafted by the Carnival Workshop of the Municipality of Patras) will combine nearly two centuries of the institution’s history with the iconic masterpiece by Tsiller, a symbol of the cultural identity and heritage of the city.
This year’s King of Carnival for the grand celebration in Patras will be “Harlequin,” a central figure of the Patras Carnival, which was also used as a key element in the Opening Ceremony, in conjunction with the Apollo Municipal Theatre, an iconic landmark of Patras.

Clean Monday at Stavros Niarchos Park “Welcome Lent, Welcome Spring!” | Live Broadcast 12:00 (Athens time)
On Clean Monday, March 3, 2025, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center welcomes Lent and Spring with a grand traditional celebration, and ERT World will be there to broadcast it live at 12:00 p.m., with a repeat at 00:00 a.m.
At the Great Lawn of Stavros Niarchos Park, Ethnomusicology Professor Lambros Liavas curates and presents a panorama of Greek music and dance traditions, offering an open invitation to join in the ritual of the traditional festivity. With in-depth knowledge of Greece’s traditional music, gained through academic research and travels to every corner of the country, Lambros Liavas shows us how to send off the Carnival period in the age-old way. Carnival mimic dances blend with kalamatiana, kangelia, and tsamika, Epirotic pogonisia, Macedonian syrta, Thracian zonaradika, Constantinopolitan hasapika, Smyrnaic karsilamades, Cretan pentozalia, and island balos dances.
365 Moments: “Santorini: The ‘Awakening’ of Nature” | Informational Show | 19:00 (Athens time)
The story of the show begins in a small village on Santorini that was destroyed by the great earthquake of 1956 but retained something important, and it reaches the present day with the ongoing seismic tremors. What do these tremors indicate, and when might the volcanoes on Santorini be activated? Why did the old Santorini inhabitants never leave the island? The show “365 Moments” presents an investigation into the events on the island.
