Christmas feast celebrated according to the Julian Calendar in the Metropolis of Sylivria and in the city of Constantinople

At the Vatopaidi Metochion of St Andrew the Apostle, in Constantinople, the panegyric Divine Liturgy for Christmas was celebrated on the 7th of January, for the Russian speaking faithful of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, according to the Julian Calendar. This celebration of the Feast day of Christmas was celebrated by the Great Preacher of the Patriarchate, Fr Panaretos, who is also the Dean of the Metochion Church of St Andrew, concelebrated with Fr Victor Copuşciu, Archimandrite of the Archdiocese of Constantinople.

In Sylivria, in similar fashion, according to the Julian Calendar, the feast of Christmas was celebrated in the Chapel of Panagia of Sylivria and Saint Nektarios. Where His Eminence, Metropolitan Maximos of Sylivria celebrated and conducted the divine services, where Deacon Fr Alexios Demertzis also served along side the Metropolitan.
