Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane attends Lord Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane accepted an invitation to attend the annual Prayer Breakfast organised by the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Mr Adrian Schrinner at the prestigious Brisbane City Hall.

During the breakfast, distinguished journalist and well known for his Christian beliefs Mr Greg Sheridan, spoke about the importance of standing up for Christianity in a world where Christianity is often criticised and ridiculed.

His Grace conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia to the Lord Mayor and thanked him for his kind invitation.

It must be noted that His Grace Bishop Bartholomew was the only Christian leader to be seated on the main table, an honour for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.
