Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain: Interfaith Prayer Service for peace in Ukraine

On Monday, 25th February 2024, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain joined religious leaders, dignitaries, and members of diverse faith communities in an Interfaith Prayer Service for Peace in Ukraine.
The gathering, held at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in London was a solemn and powerful occasion, bringing together voices of faith in a collective plea for peace, justice, and healing for those suffering due to the ongoing war.
As one of the principal speakers, Archbishop Nikitas led prayers, invoking divine mercy and strength for the people of Ukraine. In his heartfelt address, Archbishop Nikitas emphasized the enduring power of faith in times of crisis, calling upon all to stand in solidarity with those enduring hardship. The service featured prayers in multiple languages, reflecting the shared commitment of different faith traditions to peace and reconciliation.
On the sidelines of the event, Archbishop Nikitas met with The Rt Hon Priti Patel MP and Faith Minister Lord Wajid Khan of Burnley, engaging in meaningful discussions on the role of religious communities in promoting peace and humanitarian support.
The Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain continues to stand in prayer and action for the people of Ukraine, reaffirming its commitment to peace, compassion, and justice in the face of suffering.
