Archbishop Ioannis of Albania: Religious harmony is a great treasure for our country

On Friday, 6 June 2025, His Beatitude Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania visited, on the occasion of the Feast of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bajram), the headquarters of the Muslim Community of Albania as well as the World Headquarters of the Bektashi.

The Archbishop was received by the President of the Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, and later by the World Leader of the Bektashis, Haji Dede Edmond Brahimaj.

In his greeting, among other things, he said: “We are always together, in both joyful moments and in every difficulty. Religious harmony is a great treasure for our country, which we must strive to preserve at all times, in order to prove that it is possible to live together, even when we hold different beliefs.”
