Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens to celebrate Name Day on 15th June

On Sunday, 15th June 2025, the day dedicated to the memory of Saint Ieronymos the Polyglot, His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece will celebrate his name day.

In honour of this occasion, on the eve of the feast, Saturday, 14 June 2025 at 7:00 p.m., the Archbishop will preside over the Great Festive Vespers at the Church of Saint Spyridon in Oinofyta, Boeotia.

Following the Vespers, at 8:30 p.m., he will inaugurate the Folklore and Historical Collection — an exhibition dedicated to the memory, identity, and tradition of the local area. The opening ceremony will take place at the Ecclesiastical Service Centre of Oinofyta, where immediately afterward, Archbishop Ieronymos will receive the well-wishes of clergy and faithful gathered.

On the main feast day, Sunday, 15th June 2025, he will officiate the Orthros (Matins) and Divine Liturgy at the Holy Hermitage of the Transfiguration of the Saviour – Saint Porphyrios in Milesi, Attica.
