Delegation of the Committee of Orthodox Churches in the EU visited the Theological School of Halki

On Friday, 22 November 2024, a delegation from the Committee of Orthodox Churches in the European Union (CROCEU), led by His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, visited the Theological School of Halki.

The delegation was received by the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, in the Great Synod Hall of the School.

In his welcoming address to the members of this pan-Orthodox delegation, the Abbot spoke about the history of Theological School of Halki, the ongoing renovation of its building complex, and the efforts being made to reopen it.

The visitors then venerated the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, toured the old classrooms and the historic library, and finally attended a meal which was held in their honour.
