Visit of Ecumenical Patriarch to Archdiocese of Athens is canceled
The scheduled visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the Archdiocese of Athens, planned for Friday, November 22, at 12:00 PM, has been canceled, according to an official announcement by the Archdiocese of Athens.
The reason for the cancellation was a delay in the Ecumenical Patriarch’s flight, which had consequently postponed his arrival in Athens.
The Archdiocese’s statement reads as follows:
“Due to the delay of the flight of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and, subsequently, his arrival in Athens, the scheduled visit to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece at 12 noon today, Friday, November 22, will not take place.”
Further updates regarding the rescheduling of the meeting, if any, are expected to follow.
