6.1R earthquake shakes the island of Karpathos

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale shook the island of Karpathos on Tuesday at 08:32.

The quake’s epicentre was located in the sea area 127 km southeast of Karpathos, the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens said.
