An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred shortly before 9 pm on Monday in the sea area south of the Kassandra peninsula, Halkidiki. The epicentre was located 27 kilometres southwest of Paliouri, Kassandra, at a focal depth of 18.4 kilometres.
